Plastic fuel pipes - with corrugated polyoxymethylene or polyester inner and a flexible PVC sheath

Fuel pipes comprises a corrugated inner tube of polyoxymethylene or thermoplastic polyester with an outer casing of flexible PVC. The PVC casing pref. contains 25-35 wt % plasticizer such as tricresyl phosphate and/or trichloroethylphosphate, and pref. also contains carbon black. The pipes are esp. useful as fuel pipes in motor vehicles. They retain good hardness, flexibility and toughness at temps. of -40 degrees to 100 degrees C and have better resistance to battery acid, high methanol fuels and zinc ions than the polyamide tubes used previously.
