PURPOSE:To freely regulate the arrangement of permanent magnets in a magnetic rotor by detachably assembling permanent magnet holder members having a plurality of slits, and interval-adjustably fitting a plurality of groups of permanent magnets in the slits in the magnet holder. CONSTITUTION:A disc type permanent magnet holder 1 consisting of a non-magnetic material and used for a magnetic separator is provided with radialy extended slits 2. An arbitrary number of groups of rectangular permanent magnets 3, each of which groups consists of a plurality of permanent magnets 3, are fitted in the slits 2 such that the magnetic poles of opposed groups of permanent magnets in adjacent slits 2 are different from each other. Spaces between the adjacent groups of permanent magnets are adjusted by inserting spacers 4 therebetween. The magnet holder 1 is also provided with radially extended multi-gourd type bores 5 among the slits 2. A plurality of small, circular, fragile but powerful permanent magnets 6 are position-adjustably fitted in the bores 5. The magnet holder 1 is assembled by putting together holder members at their respective assembling surfaces 7, to form a magnetic rotor by inserting bolts into holes 8 provided at regular intervals in the magnet holder 1. Thus, the number and arrangement of the permanent magnets can be freely changed by detaching one of the members of the magnet holder 1. |
