Process camera with operate error diagnostics - feeds switch conditions of separate parts to central control circuit

A vertical process camera has a lens carrier to accommodate two or more lenses and also a point source light used for focus and reduction/enlargement factor control. The document easel is a drawer type vacuum unit. The control system monitors the operators camera settings and reads out incorrect ones according to a diagnostic code. A central control unit (20) is wired (21) to the input switch control (11) and digital read out (13) which provides read out of all incorrect settings in alphanumeric code. Switch units (25, 26, 27) indicate to the control (20) which lens (5, 6) or the point source light (7) has been selected, similar switches are fixed to film and document carriers. Values are fed into the control (20) from the input switch control (11) for the reduction/enlargement factor and film transport so that these operations can also be monitored. The power supply to the lamps (12) is also switched by relays in the control (20) circuit.
