<p>The solar heating system using a large number of parallel tubes connected at their ends by header tubers for circulating a heating medium, is used on a roof with metal sheets (4). The abutting edges of sheets are flanged upwards together and bent over, with a securing strip between. The supports for the tubes are designed so as not to damage the sheets, e.g. by cracking. The tubes may have a flat base, attached to a sunken recess (6) in the sheet by welding. Round section tubes can be recessed, for welding onto ridges (8) along the sheet, and the recess can be forked to partly enclose the ridge. In another design the tube has flanges welded to an angle (10) in turn welded to the sheet. A circular tube may be secured by a T-shaped foot (12) to the sheet.</p> |
