The atomiser spray pump for fitting to a liquid-filled container comprises a piston pump with an inlet valve and openings and a spring-loaded outlet valve. The seat member of the inlet valve sealingly slides in a cylinder with smaller dia. than the piston. It is co-axial with the piston and follows it when depressed and also actuates the outlet valve. The inlet tube is fixed directly to the seat member. The pump is primed by emptying the cylinder directly into the container at the lower end of the inlet valve stroke. This is effected via at least one axial slot in the wall of the cylinder.
