The centrifugal which is provided with straight radial blades (5) which are mounted on at least one disc (4). The blades can be removed and replaced when worn. The section of the blades is 'L' shaped, the short leg of the 'L' forming a mounting web for the blade. The mounting webs of the blades protect the disc against wear, so that only the radial blades need replacing at intervals. The mounting webs have sloping edges. Wedges (14) are used to clamp the blades in grooves in the mounting disc.
