Paint-work edging appliance - has working edge covered by renewable masking paper to facilitate painting adjacent narrow strips of different colours or shades

The appliance is useful in painting floor skirting and window frames. In use, the working edge(2) of the appliance is covered by clean paper and pressed against the edge of the surface to be painted. In this way the paper masks areas not to be painted. The paper may be supplied in a replaceable roll and fed from a supply spindle(6) to a take-up spindle(5) via the working edge(2). The paper is opt. supplied in a replaceable cassette. Opt. the edge(2) has a sponge strip for assisting painting of surfaces with irregular edges e.g. as provided by window frame putty.
