<p>Simple heat energy conversion unit made at a low cost and in any capacity range takes up less space than the conventional units. The expansion vessel is fed with warm surface water of a water reservoir while cooling is controlled by a tank with cold water from the deep layer. The temp. difference between surface water and the deep layer at sea always exists in spite of seasonal variations, and the expansion vessel has a rod for tilting a trough with water. Lever connection of the vessel operates a cylinder with piston compressing fluid to a pressure determined by a control valve with linkage to an energy storing unit. Valves control energy release to a working piston.</p> |
