A fluid mixing apparatus comprises a mixer body 1 having a fluid inlet 1a, a fluid outlet 1b and a plurality of passages 1c, 1d communicated with the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet, a mechanism 3 being provided in at least one 1c of the plurality of the passages and being capable of changing a cross- sectional area of the passage as desired, and at least one inlet 4a for introducing a fluid to be mixed into at least one 1d of the remaining passages by suction. The apparatus is effectively applicable to mixing and dilution of liquid fertilizers and agricultural chemicals, blending of an additive into a liquid fuel, such as gasoline, etc., blending and preparation of lubricating oil, blending of an additive into a fuel gas, etc. The present apparatus works only by a pressure established by a fluid passing through the apparatus itself without requiring any pressurizing means or a bypass piping in mixing the fluid. <IMAGE> |
