<p>The butterfly-type valve shuts off or adjusts the cross-section of a pipe, the butterfly hinging in a housing and a metal seal being included. A metal spring component bears against the inside of the housing on both sides and extends for its entire width. On the side towards the butterfly (2) the spring component (1) has a coating of sealing material, pref. elastomer (3), and is combined with the coating to form a seal. The component can have a boss (5) extending inwards to shortly before the valve spindle or past it on one or both sides. At the free end of the boss the coating has sealing lips (6) extending to one or both sides.</p> |
