PURPOSE:To form an anticorrosive layer excellent in the anticorrosivity with a high workability by heat reducing a heat shrinking coat applied to the outer surface of the requenctly seawater splashed zone of the marine steel structure coated with a petrolatum-based anticorrosive tape. CONSTITUTION:The frequently seawater splashed ares of the marine steel structure is coated with a petrolatum-based anticorrosive tape prone to stick even on the wet steel surface by winding thereof spirally or applying thereof in patch with the ends thereof overlapping. Then, a hot-shrinking material such as a cross-linked polyethylene, a fluorine-containing resin, a vinyl chloride resin and a vinylidene chrolide resin shaped like a tape, sheet or tube is provided on the outer surface of the frequently splashed zone of the marine steel structure coated with the petrolatum- based anticorrosive tape. It is evenly heated from the outer surface thereof the be shrinked until it is fixed on the anticorrosive layer completely whereby a protective layer is formed thereon. |
