PURPOSE:To obtain a battery which shows the operating voltage in the vicinity of 1.4V and has an excellent compatibility with a general battery by using the positive electrode of a two-component system compound in which the mixtures of iron sulfide and bismuth trioxide are sintered, light metal negative electrodes, and nonaqueous electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:For example, the pellet which is obtained by pulverizing the compound acquired by mixing 80g of iron sulfide and 460g of bismuth trioxide and heat-treating it in vacuum at 500 deg.C for some 5hr., mixing it with graphite and fluorine contained resin at a weight ratio of 90-3-7, pressurizing, molding, and bonding it at 300 deg.C is used as a positive electrode. Such light metals as lithium, sodium, etc. are used as a negative electrode. For instance, a battery is formed by impregnating the electrolyte in which 1mol concentration of lithium perchlorate is solved in the mixed solvent of propylene carbonate and 1, 2-dimethoxyethan in the separator of polypropylene nonwoven fabric. |
