<p>PURPOSE:To correctly detect a paper jam for each type of form by providing timers of a number corresponding to the number of paper sheets which can be present in a transport path. CONSTITUTION:Measured values TRT of timers t(0)-t(5) allotted for detection of a paper jam and a theoretical value TS of transport time are compared to investigate whether a paper sheet is of timing reaching the next detector position or not. If it is of timing reaching that position, it is investigated whether an output signal of the next detector rises or not, and if affirmative, the paper sheet has reached the next detector position as a theoretical value. Then, the timer measured value is cleared to shift to measurement of the transport time for a new section. In a paper jam judging processing, a measured value TRT of an operating timer and a paper jam detection timing value TL are compared, and if TRT>=TL, it is detected as a paper jam. On the other hand, a paper sheet is fed out from a paper feed tray 2 periodically with a clock signal output from a clock signal generator 12, so that timer allotting processing is carried out for every paper feeding timing.</p> |
