PURPOSE:To smooth a transaction process by displaying on CRT a pattern and characters such as numbers, letters and symbols at the same time, and then by displaying operation indications using the pattern and a message. CONSTITUTION:Many groups of picture elements and many characters are previously stored in character generator ROM263. The screen of CRT201 is divided into columns and rows and a few kinds of pattern codes and the code of an operation guidance message to be displayed on CRT201 are stored in ROM246. Here, refresh memory RAM262 is provided which has memory areas corresponding to a graphic screen and character screen, and a screen and message to be displayed on CRT are read out from ROM246 and written in RAM262. In this circuit constitution, patterns and messages guiding a user to operate are combined and displayed on CRT201, operation by operation, right before the user operates. Consequently, since the user can understand and judge each operation easily, the needed time for a transaction is shortened and processing performance improves. |
