<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to input information by detecting the position of a beam on a screen by occluding it. CONSTITUTION:Screen touch system keyboard 1 is built in a frame shape on the front face of the display tube of screen display unit 2 and inside of the frame, pairs of light emission units 3 and photo detectors 4 are vertically and horizontally at constant intervals. For example, photo detectors 4 use photo diodes and light emission units 3 use light emission diodes; and corresponding condensers and slits are provided at need so as to prevent light from a corresponding light emission unit 3 from striking any other detector than paired one. Dotted lines 6 represent beams from respective light emission units 3. To change a signal from each photo detector 4 into a logic signal, it is made into an adequate format through amplification and discrimination of make it possible to read information on positions as input to a calculator and other terminals from a computer.</p> |
