PURPOSE:To provide a sintered magnet with a higher energy product, obtaining a uniform orientation of magnetic powder, by arranging the direction of magnetic field at right angles with that of press so that the orientation of magnetic powder is not destroyed by press. CONSTITUTION:The edge of a magnetic molding table 7 of non-magnetic metal having a cylindrical part 8 which stretches downward are supported with frames 17, and on the table 7, side molds 13 and 13' are arranged as to correspond to the cylindrical part 8. Magnetic poles 14 and 14', and magnetic field-generating coils 15 and 15' are installed around the molds 13 and 13'. A fixed lower mold 10 of non-magnetic metal with a semicircular cavity 9 on its upper surface is inserted into the cylindrical part 8, and an upper mold 12, which vertically travels, with a cavity 11 on its lower surface is inserted into the side molds 13 and 13' so that both of the lower and upper mold are opposed to each other. Into a hole 16 which is located between these molds 8 and 12 and reaches one pole 14', magnetic powder 20 is filled, with coils 15 and 15' supplied with current, and pressed with a central axis mold 19 which is pushed into by a cylinder 18. |
