PURPOSE:To prepare a soil improving agent having improved water absorption and disintegration with water, from industrial wastes, by mixing gypsum with organic sludge, etc., and drying the mixture. CONSTITUTION:To obtain a soil improving agent composed mainly of organic components, lime, and sulfur, by (1) mixing and homogeneously dispersing (a) gypsum dihydrate such as natural gypsum or by-produced gypsum of stack gas disulfurization process, (b) organic sludge such as the residual sludge of an activated sludge process for the industrial wastes or the municipal wastes, e.g. human waste, and if necessary, (c) a calcium source such as slaked lime, calcium carbonate, etc., and (2) evaporating water from the mixture. |
