PURPOSE:To prevent a shrinkage of an ink layer or tailings of an ink image by transporting liquid ink using an ink transport means, applying an energy which conforms with an image signal to the ink and causing an energy application means to vibrate finely. CONSTITUTION:If a recording start signal is entered, an ink transport roller 1, a coating roller 4, an intermediate transfer roller 6 and transport rollers 9a-9d rotate respectively to coat an ink layer on the roller 1 and transport a recording part 8. If the tip of the recording paper 8 comes to a position for a regist sensor 13, the transport of the recording paper 8 is once suspended to drive an electric distortion vibrator 15. As a result, a recording head 5 is caused to vibrate finely and at the same time, the recording head 5 is energized for recording in accordance with an image signal to form an ink image 2a in an ink layer. In addition, if the tip of the ink image 2a reaches a pressure contact part. between the roller 6 and a transfer roller simultaneously with the formation of an image, the recording paper 8 is synchronously transported to transfer the ink image 2a to the recording paper 8. Consequently, a shrinkage of the ink layer, tailings of an ink image or stick slip is prevented and thereby a sharp image is obtained. |
