Insulating material and method for manufacturing same. The present invention relates to insulating materials, in particular to heat insulating materials having heat- reflecting properties. In particular, insulating material according to the invention comprises a random grouping of elements having at least one part deformed in order to increase the springiness of the elements, and to assist the formation of interspaces between neighbouring elements in the random grouping.
