PURPOSE:To give good COD value to weld metal without giving any adverse influence to workability by containing the limited amounts of TiO2, B2O3, Mn, Si, Mg, CaCO3, CaF2, SiO2, BaCO3 in the coating agent of core wire. CONSTITUTION:As essential components, TiO2; 2-10wt%, B2O3; 0.05-0.7%, Mn; 0.5-5%, Si; 3-9%, Mg; 0.3-3%, CaCO3; 30-55%, CaF2; 0.5-25%, SiO2; 5% or less, BaCO3; 10% or less are contained in the coating agent of core wire. The limited amounts of TiO2 and B2O3 in these basic components are effectual in fining the crystal grains of weld metal and improving COD value. Mn, Si and Mg are compounded as deoxidizers. CaCO3 is a gas producing agent and shields welding atmosphere. CaF2 has the function of lowering the melting point and SiO2 and BaCO3 are compounded with the object of controlling welding workability. |
