PURPOSE:To ease the exchanging of respective segments by arraying drive machine groups on both sides of the arc part of the slab conveying route composed of the arc part and horizontal part, respectively connecting the drive rolls on the upper and lower sides to the drive machine group drive shafts on the one side and the other, and simplifying the releasing of the connection parts. CONSTITUTION:Drive machine groups 10, 11 which revolve the drive rolls 1a, 1b of the segments S1-S7 constituting arc part are arrayed on the both sides of the arc part of the slab conveying path. The drive rolls 1a of the upper side are respectively connected to the revolving shafts of the drive machines M of the drive machine group 10 on one side by way of universal spindle shafts 2. The drive rolls 1b of the lower side are respectively connected to the revolving shafts of the drive machines M of the drive machine group 11 on the other side in the similar manner. This produces sufficient spacings around the connecting parts of the each drive rolls and the revolving shafts of the each drive machines, whereby the releasing of the connection parts is readily accomplished. |
