PURPOSE:To completely prevent a clogging at a jet orifice while out of operation and to keep the circumference of he orifice clean by stopping the introduction of recording ink into the ink head while paused and by discharging the recording ink from the head completely to make the ink head empty. CONSTITUTION:When the printing is finished, the valves 14, 15 in both sides of the ink tank 13 are closed, the valve of the cleaning solvent tank 20 is opened to feed the solvent to the head 22. Next the valve of tank 20 is closed, both the valves 14, 15 are opened to introduce clean air into the head 22. After the cleaning solvent is completely discharged by the air, all the valves are closed. In this way, inside of head 22 becomes empty, the printing can immediately be performed when it is started again, a printing of good quality can be obtained. |
