PURPOSE:To obtain high functions by realizing easy-to-see display by giving unity by analogically displaying time making use of liquid-crystal display bodies and then by displaying a division scale for a time read by electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Hour, minute and second displays 1-3 are carried into effect and around them, division scale 4 for a time read is displayed by electrodes to facilitate the time read. Then, the liquid-crystal timepiece has its hour and minute hands or hour, minute and second hands on a concentric circle or deformed figure and on inside upper and lower surfaces of substrate sandwiching a liquid-crystal layer of liquid-display bodies, clear electrodes are provided; clear electrodes L0-L4 as line electrodes are provided on one surface, and 24 clear electrodes as block electrodes are on the other, thereby displaying time by adequately combining 120 picture elements in total. Further, division scale 4 has one electrode provided on the block electrode surface side to display time by combining five line electrodes and a time display signal is used as a driving signal. |
