PURPOSE:To efficiently transfer heat by continuously and tightly contacting means to cool, freeze and heat matters to be treated with the top surface and even side surfaces of the matters to be treated by a method wherein flexible packs are brought into contact with both the side surfaces and the heat exchange surface of the matters to be treated. CONSTITUTION:The detachable fixing of flexible packs, in which liquid refrigerant is sealed, onto a steel belt 2 at fixed intervals in done by fixing mounting clamps 10 consisting of the elastic strings of the flexible pack 6 with fixing pieces provided on the ends of both sides of the steel belt 2. A flexible pack 6 brought at the position on a driven drum 3b is interposed between two matters to be treated 5. At that time, due to the flexibility of the pack 6 itself, the pack 6 contacts with the top surface and side surfaces of the matters to be treated and with the top surface of the steel belt 2. While advancing leftwards in a heat transfer piece 1 under the state as described above, the matter to be treated 5 is uniformly and quickly cooled not only through its underside but also through its side surfaces and top surface. |
