<p>Seed drill comprises a blower and ducting conveying a high-pressure air flow and seeds or fertiliser from a hopper and metering mechanism to spreading nozzles or coulters. There are one or more slots in the blower casing and/or ducting through which entrained water is expelled. There are pref. slots spaced around the casing perimeter and parallel to the blower axis of rotation, and one slot in a ducting bend. There is pref. an inwardly inclined lip at the outer edge of each slot so that a water globule rolling along the casing or ducting inner surfaces is guided through the slot. The arrangement prevents water migrating back to the metering mechanism and causing a blockage.</p> |
