<p>PURPOSE:To control a battery-driven electric motor vehicle always in highest efficiency by controlling the armature voltage and the field current of a motor so that the drive efficiency becomes maximum corresponding to the rotating speed vs. torque characteristics satisfying all the running conditions of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:The output signals from a motor current detector 6, a field current detector 7, a motor speed detector 8, an accelerator 10 and a power supply voltage detector 11 are applied to the input/output circuits 13 of a control circuit 9. The circuit 13 consists of an A/D converter, registers and the like. Digital outputs are applied to a current flow rate calculating circuit 12 consisting of a RAM, a clock generator and the like. The circuit 12 initially reads the values stored in a memory 14 storing the main chopper current flow rate and field current specifying values corresponding to the rotating speed of the motor and the opening of the accelerator, and corrects the main chopper 20 as predetermined in response to the discharge state of a battery to generate a drive pulse corresponding to the current flow rate responsive to the instruction. This pulse is amplified through amplifiers 15 and 16.</p> |
