METHOD OF PRODUCING SINTERED ELECTRODE PLATE FOR BATTERY

PURPOSE:To provide a very thick sintered electrode plate by applying and drying nickel slurry on both surfaces of embossed porous metal core, again applying and drying nickel slurry on the surfaces of said nickel slurry and then sintering them. CONSTITUTION:A porous metal core 1 embossed and provided with holes is passed through a slurry applying slitter, applied nickel slurry on both surfaces and dried to form first nickel layers 3. Similar nickel slurry is then applied on the first nickel layers 3 and dried to form second nickel layers 4. In this method 2-3mm thick sintered electrode plate can be obtained by increasing the number of times of slurry application.
