PURPOSE:To improve discharge performance and storage performance by using a separator which is obtained by coating polyvinyl alcohol which is dissolved in water onto the both surfaces of a microporous polyethylene film and then laminating cellophane thereon. CONSTITUTION:Into an outer vessel 1 which also serves as an anode terminal, an anode vessel 2 filled with anode composition 3 is inserted, and over the anode vessel, a separator 4 is loaded which is obtained integrally by coating PVA 6 layer which has been dissolved in water, on both surfaces of a microporous polyethylene film 5 having thickness of 0.1mm and then laminating cellophane 7 thereon. A sealing plate 10 which also serves as cathode terminal is inserted thereon via a packing 11, while water remains in the PVA layer 6 and the PVA layer 6 is in a half- dried state to complete the assembly of the cell. Accordingly, no cracks due to drying is formed in the PVA layer 6, and the deformation of polyethylene film 5 due to electrolyte absorption is not developed, thereby preventing the occurrence of self- discharge in shelfing period. |
