<p>The fairground carousel has several flying gondolas chained to a central mast which itself rotates together with the passenger gondolas. The carousel is fitted on a vehicle the mast of which can be folded down, with the support vehicle being made as single axle passenger vehicle trailer. The gondolas hang from jib arms which are linked to the mast and when the carousel is dismantled the jib arms can be folded down. The folding down mast section is made as a telescopic mast which during operation can be either lowered or raised as required. The mast mounting supports are positioned near to the mast, they are low and of such a rigid construction that they can be left in position during normal carousel operation as well as during its transport.</p> |
