Circular looper for joining two knitted fabrics - having easy interchange of eye needle and latch needle and switching of thread gripper and layer

In a circular looper, to join two knitted fabrics together by a stretch looped seam, there are >=2 cam discs (18,19) to move a counterpiece vertically to the crown of needles. They are moved selectively and alternately by at least two angled levers (31) to be engaged. Their arms (31 a) toward the counterpiece form identical connections for the lifting rods (33). One cam (18) is for the movement of the thread gripper acting with the eyed needle, while the other cam (19) is for the thread layer acting with the latch needle. The sewing components, forming the looped stitches are so arranged that the eye needle can be exchanged for a latch needle, and the thread gripper and layer can be switched. The design allows the machine to be changed simply from one system to another.
