PURPOSE:To prepare a hair-treating agent having high hair-setting characteristics and curl-keeping properties, by adding a specific amount of a specific silicone oil to a composite resin composition composed of an anionic polymeric compound and a cationic surface active agent. CONSTITUTION:A composition containing (A) 0.1-3wt% of an anionic polymeric compound soluble in water or in hydrous ethanol and having a molecular weight of 10,000-1,000,000 (e.g. polyacrylic acid having a molecular weight of 70,000- 300,000), (B) 0.3-6wt% of a carionic surface active agent (e.g. dialkyl (C12) pentaoxyethyl ammonium chloride), and (C) 0.1-2wt% of an oxyalkylene-modified organopolysiloxane. The weight ratios of A:B and (A+B):C are 1:(0.8-5) and 1:(0.1-0.5), respectively. The components cover the surface of the hair uniformly, and improves not only the setting characteristics and the curl-keeping properties of the hair but also the moisture retainability and drying resistance to heat drying. |
