Laminating system uses numerical control - to control addition of thermoplastic filler to honeycomb core and ultrasound treatment

The laminating system makes laminae comprising a honeycomb core sandwiched between a lower lamina and an upper lamina (the latter being made of GFR plastic). The honeycomb core is filled with a thermoplastic filler. Connecting members are placed in the honeycomb and fixed in place by ultrasonics. A control device controls the locating of the regions in which the filler will be added and which will be treated with ultrasonics. It also controls the adding of the filler to the core. The device may be controlled by a template or numerically. The filler is a mixt. of thermoplastic and duroplastic. The connecting members are radiated into the finished laminate by treating with ultrasonics.
