The glass pane transport frame has a swing arm (8, 9) to locate the panes in the lateral direction, and which is steplessly adjustable. It is fixed in position by an automatic locking device (11), fitting between the arm and supporting uprights (4). The latter can be joined together to form a frame, and can be arranged to fold down onto the frame when not in use. The arm with locking device and uprights can form a sub-assembly adjustable in lengthwise guides in the frame.
