摘要 PURPOSE:Acylcoenzyme A synthetase and acylcoenzyme A oxidase are made to act on a sample containing free fatty acids to form hydrogen peroxide or others, which are measured whereby the free acids are determined. CONSTITUTION:Acylcoenzyme A synthetase is made to act on free fatty acids of 5-22 carbon atoms in the presence of adenosine-triphosphoric acid, coenzyme A, preferably further magnesium ion, at 20-40 deg.C and pH6-9.5 to form acylcoenzyme A, adenosine-monophosphoric acid and pyrophosphoric acid. Then, acylcoenzyme A oxidase is made to act on acylcoenzyme A in the presence of oxygen at 20-40 deg.C and a pH6-9.5 to form hydrogen peroxide or enoylcoenzyme A. These products are measured by a usual method or the amount of oxygen consumed in the oxidation is measured to determine the free fatty acids.
