<p>A fluid comprising a transparent liquid charged with an opacifying agent, for example a gas forming an emulsion with the liquid, is caused to circulate in a circuit possessing a passage (16) between two transparent surfaces positioned to form the said transparent wall, and the quantity or form (size of the emulsion bubbles) of the opacifying agent is acted upon in order to adjust the absorbing or reflecting power of the fluid passed between the said transparent surfaces and, consequently, the quantity of energy absorbed or reflected.
