The chair for invalids or injured persons has a number of seat sections (13, 18, 23, 24). These seat sections are designed to support the rump, back and head of the occupant. The adjacent sections are joined together by adjustable and lockable hinges. All sections can be upholstered, and there is a separate section for the rump, lower back, upper back and shoulders, and head. One or more of the separate sections can incorporate a liquid cushion in contact with the body. A footrest (60) can also be included. The chair has large rear wheels with flanges enabling them to be turned by hand. The front wheels are small and mounted on castors. |
