PURPOSE:To provide title compsn. useful as coating material for aluminum foil, consisting of an aq. dispersion of carboxyl gp.-contg. polyolefin compsn. and an aq. dispersion of ethylene-alpha,beta-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid random copolymer. CONSTITUTION:Compsn. consisting of aq. dispersions of synthetic resins is provided which consists of (A) aq. dispersion of polyolefin compsn. composed of from 50 to 99 pts.wt. of polyolefin having an intrinsic viscosity eta of from 1.0 to 5 and from 50 to 1 pts.wt. of carboxyl gp.-contg. polyolefin having anintrinsic viscosity eta of from 0.04-0.8 and an acid value of from 30-150, and (B) aq. dispersion of ethylene-alpha,beta-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid random copolymer composed of from 55 to 95wt% of ethylene and from 45 to 5wt% of alpha,beta-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid (from about 20 to 75% of acid radical thereof is neutralized with basic alkali metal salt). (A) component contains solids of from 1 to 50wt% based on total solids of the compsn., and (B) component contains solids of from 99 to 50wt%. EFFECT:Marked improvement in the prevention of blocking tendency without reducing bond performance to aluminum foil. |
