PURPOSE:To save the power consumption of an illuminated watch by employing flat light radiating illumination member of desired shape to uniformly illuminate the display surface of the watch and to simultaneously divide the illuminated area. CONSTITUTION:A flat light radiating illumination member such as, for example, an EL layer is divided into two elements 5a, 5b to introduce lead wires 5c, 5d, 5e and 5f therefrom. The time display on the display panel 3 is selectively illuminated entirely, at the hour display unit or minute display unit by operating a control button. Since the EL illuminator is thus divided and the divided portion is selectively illuminated, the power consumption can be further saved. In addition, when this is applied for a multi-function watch, further effects can be obtained. |
