PURPOSE:To prevent radiation loss, and to heat a large quantity of hot water with a small amount of gas, by a mechanism wherein a straight pipe-like heat exchanger is laterally disposed into a lower portion of a hot water storage tank and the one end is connected to a heating apparatus and the other end to an exhaust passage at the outside of the hot water storage tank respectively. CONSTITUTION:A heat circulation device 11 holding a plurality of heat exchanging promoting plates 12 at regular intervals is inserted from one end portion of a heat exchanger 2 in a straight pipe-like shape, a nose contact portion 22 of the heat exchanger 2 is contacted with a cover body 10 while an exhaust passage 4 is connected through an exhaust passage connecting portion 9, and a heating apparatus 3 is connected to the other end portion of the heat exchanger 2. According to this constitution, water in a hot water tank 1 is heat-exchanged with hot air from the flames of the heating apparatus 3 and exhaust hot air meandering by means of the heat exchanging promoting plates 12 in a heat exchanging chamber 3 and heated, thus heating hot water with great capacity with gas with little capacity. |
