The invention relates to a supporting arrangement for a roll 8 intended for rolling against and be loaded by a running surface on a means movable relative to the supporting arrangement, e.g. a live ring 6. The arrangement comprises retaining means on both sides of the roll, in which the roll is rotatably arranged. In order to enable axial displaceability of the roll for the intention of avoiding axial sliding in the contact between the roll and the running surface, the retaining means are resiliently carried by supporting means 17, 18, 19, 20, whereby the retaining means are displaceable together with the roll in the longitudinal direction of the roll. The supporting means touches the respective retaining means and an opposing base via circular supporting faces 33, 34, 35, 36 such that the supporting means may perform a tilting movement during rolling against respective base. <IMAGE> |
