摘要 PURPOSE:To make destaticizing in repeatitive recording easy and form always negative-positive electrostatic recording images of good quality exposing the composite photoreceptor having undergone the specific charging treatment to form negative electrostatic latent images thereon then visualizing the same with the toner of the polarity opposite from that of the latent images. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the photoreceptor 1B comprising providing a photoconductive layer B1 on a conductive substrate B0 is charged to positive polarity (primary charging) and a dielectric film 1A is superposed thereon form a composite photoreceptor 1. Next, the surface of the photoreceptor 1 is negative-charged (secondary charging) to form the electrical double layers in which the directions of dipole moments are mutually opposite, on the dielectric film 1A and photoconductive layer B1, respectively. Thence, the photoreceptor 1 is imagewise-exposed to make the surface potentials thereof negative in the light-received parts and zero in the non-light-received parts and form latent images, after which the latent images are developed by the toner charged to positive polarity (opposite from the polarity of the latent images). The resultant visible images are transferred onto a recording sheet.
