PURPOSE:To achieve distance measurement of high accuracy and the reduction in the time lag from release up to photographing of high speed subject by positioning a distance measuring element to the front face of the film at the distance measurement and letting the same evacuate to outside the optical path together with a movable mirror at the photographing. CONSTITUTION:Part of the light emitted from the peripheral part of the exit pupil of a photographing lens 1 transmits through the semitransparent mirror part 3b of a quick return mirror 3, is compensated of its optical path by a lens 6 and arrives at a distance measuring element 5. When focus is displayed, shutter is released and a quick return mirror 3 kicks up. In cooperation with the movement of the mirror 3, an element holding plate 4 also kicks up and evacuates from the photographing optical path. A cushion member 10 serving also as a light shield is secured to the mirror 3, and the element holding plate 4 shields the reverse incident light from the finder by making close contact with the mirror 3. This constitution enables the time lag from release up to shutter to be reduced. |
