<p>PURPOSE:To enable for common utilization of one original plate between respective plate types by converting a halftone original plate for lithography or typography to a continuous tone original plate by a scanner and using this continuous tone original plate as the original plate for gravure. CONSTITUTION:A gravure original plate 8 is made by setting a halftone original plate 1 for lithography or typography and letting a scanner 2 scan. This original plate 8 is superposed with carbon tissue 9, is printed and developed. The plate material 11 is etched by using the tissue 9, whereby a gravure machine plate 12 is made. Or the machine plate 12 is obtained by using the gravure original plate 8 and using a gravure engraving machine 13 such as Helio-Klischograph. The scanner 2 is provided with an original cylinder 3 and original plate cylinder 4 which rotate in synchronization. The halfton original plate 1 is set to the cylinder 3, a photosensitive film 8' is set to the cylinder 4, the transmitted light having scanned the original plate 1 with a scanning head 5 is inputted to a computer unit 6, the film 8' is exposed by the light from an exposure head 7 and the film 8' is developed, whereby the continuous tone original plate 8 is obtained. It is also possible to obtain the continuous tone original plate 8 by converting the halftone original plate 1 to a black and white halftone positive 14 then setting this to the scanner 2.</p> |
