The cover seals an artificial bowel outlet. It consists of two hollow halves screwing together, an odour filter in the chamber formed between them, and a central boss hinging on the half nearest the body. The free end of the boss has an axial bore accommodating a textile, and/or chemical pad swelling on absorption of fluid, and which does not hinder the gas flow. The design gives a sure seal of the outlet against the emergence of fluid, with changing outlet dia.
