Power shears for sheep shearing - uses fixed and oscillating comb cutters with triangular teeth respectively extended and striated

The power shears are used to remove animal e.g. sheep hair, and have fixed (1) and oscillating (3) comb cutters. The fixed comb has triangular teeth (2) with ctting edges (8). The moving comb has striated (7) teetch (4) with a greater root width. The teeth (2) are tapered and of a greater length than the counter teetch (4), the arrangement aiding the penetration of the tool into the fleece. The striations (7) are incorporated on symmetrical oblique lateral faces (5, 6) of the counter teeth (4), aligned perpendicular to the cutting edges (8). The counter teeth may be of a right trapezoidal cross section with striations (7) in the non-parallel faces (5, 6).
