A generator supplies the power to drive an electrically-driven motor vehicle at a given speed. It is a polyphase nominal voltage generator with sinusoidal outputs with infinitely variable frequency control. There is common amplitude control for all the output voltages to obtain max. output from the motors. It suppresses the unsymmetrical components of the voltage. The sinusoidal wave is approximated by the output voltages with relative phase displacement and amplitudes which can be varied in common. The final outputs are passed through controlled rectifiers. The nominal value generator can be used on electric passenger vehicles or freighted vehicles. It can also be used on building sites and for tracked drives.
