<p>The blade hinge may be used on measurement devices, its geometry being defined by three intersecting bored holes (A, B) of which the axes are both parallel and coplanar. Precurved metal 'S' shaped blades (5, 6), each comprise two oppositely curved plates (10, 11) connected by an active neck (7) of significantly reduced width. These are placed with the plates (10, 11) bearing uniformly on the walls of the outer bores (A). The assembly is completed by the placement of counter blades (12) and centre pins (18). The fittings (12, 18) may extend the walls of the central bore (B). The centre hole (B) may be replaced by other aperture forms, the hinge being formed by cutting away (22, 23) the parent material (1) after blade installation.</p> |
