Endoscope with water and air duct in elongated sleeve - uses nozzle for cleaning end window by switchable jets of water and air

The elongated sleeve of the endoscope is intended for inserting into body cavities and contains a longitudinal water and air duct, as well as a distal end piece with an observation window. The latter outer surface is clean by a nozzle mounted near the same, connected to one end of the water and air ducts. The nozzle other end has an aperture directed against the observation window. The nozzle (12) has a section (26) in one piece with the nozzle body (25), whose inner walls (26a) are smooth and continuously curved. They form a smooth section continuous with the inner walls (26a) of the nozzle body, forming a transition into the nozzle aperture (21). The curve section is flattened in the direction of the nozzle aperture, this flattening extending orthogonally to the nozzle body. In production, the thermoplastic sleeve is heated and a number of wires of identical diameter are inserted into the sleeve. The air channel operation can be switched on for removing remaining cleaning water. The wires may be used for possible electric connections.
