Phosphor screen with a blue-emitting phosphor (I) uses Zr-V blue (II) as blue pigment. (II) can be used on the surface of the individual (I) particles, between these or on the substrate. (I) is pref. sulphide phosphor, esp. ZnS:Ag. (II) has good compatibility with other materials, esp. in a CRT, is easy to apply and does not reduce the brightness. The screen is specified for use as a multicolour screen, esp. for a colour TV tube also having green- and red-emitting phosphors.
