A signal transmitter is used for the automatic adjustment of parts of a motor vehicle, such as mirrors, driver's seats, etc., by remote control. The control signals are transmitted to motor drive of the components to be adjusted so that they can be set according to the requirements of the driver concerned. The key to the vehicle incorporates a coded control magnet. The lock on the vehicle contains three Hall generators which produce the control voltage. The three Hall generators can be rotated with the core of the cylinder. The Hall generators are held close to the control magnets by means of a support and a retainingring.
